About The Position

The Electronic Technician will be responsible for building and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical assemblies. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems, as well as the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a lab environment.

Requirements

• J-Standard soldering certification considered a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (ex. Word, Excel, Project etc.) any Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Material Requirements Planning/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) software would be considered a plus.
• Organization and process improvement skills considered a plus.
• Function effectively in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment.
• Work effectively with personnel from all levels of the company.
• Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.

Responsibilities

• Ability to use basic hand tools to build assemblies.
• Experience using typical electronics lab equipment (DMM, O-Scope, etc.) to characterize and troubleshoot complex electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
• Understanding of circuit boards assembly processes and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling precautions.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematic drawings.
• Effective English oral and written communication.
• Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
• Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Maintains working environment and personal appearance in line with company policies.
• Ability to collect/record and interpret data in support of product quality and production throughput.
• Working knowledge of ISO-9000 quality systems.
• Other duties as required.
