About The Position

Senspex in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is seeking to hire an Electronic Technician Maintenance I for our Military Mission Support Team in Yakima, WA! The Electronics Technician Maintenance I applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Requirements

  • 0 years + BA/BS degree, or 4 years + AA degree, or 6 years + no degree.
  • Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, woodworking and mechanical apparatus.
  • Background in basic electricity and hydraulics, military equipment, and/or wireless WAN networking procedures.
  • Requires the ability to operate and speak clearly over military hand-held radios and telephones.
  • Operate a four-wheeled drive vehicle up to one ton in off-road conditions.
  • Works well with others on a team and has strong communication skills and a customer-service attitude.
  • Current State Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
  • National security clearance: This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to work on projects/programs
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Apply basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
  • Replace components and wiring circuits using soldering and circuit card re-work stations.
  • Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, ammeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Proficient operation of personal and network computers using Microsoft Office products.
  • Record work performed in a maintenance information system.
