About The Position

The Electronic Technician Maintenance I position supports the Warfighter Readiness and Training Support (WTRS) contract at Fort Hood, TX.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience with military range communications system equipment support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain a Government Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturers' manuals or technical documents.
  • Must be able to work outside in a desert environment, including heat, cold, blowing sand, and inclement weather.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

  • Applies technical knowledge to solve routine tasks by following detailed instructions.
  • Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Receives technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician.
  • Functional testing consisting of performing operational and diagnostic checks and scheduled preventive maintenance, unscheduled (corrective) maintenance and repair; to include troubleshooting, replacement of faulty parts and realignment and check out of system; employment of a variety of specialized test equipment and complex electronic schematics and diagrams in conducting fault isolation, and use the data gained through the troubleshooting/repair process to prepare and revise maintenance instructions and procedures and to recommend and implement manufacturer/engineering changes.
  • Stores, consumes, and accounts for all issued parts and materials to support range maintenance operations.
  • Captures and records accurate and timely maintenance history, ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders and repairs are annotated into the AWARE Management Information System (MIS).
  • Shares maintenance issues and general operations updates with the supervisor and senior technicians.
  • Safely operates company vehicle; navigates established range roads and trails to specific locations using basic navigation techniques with map/compass, Global Positioning System (GPS), Night Optical Devices (NOD) when necessary, and radio communication systems.
  • Supports quality / ISO, security, and safety training programs.
  • Safeguards all assigned equipment issued by PULAU Corporation against loss, theft, and damage.
  • May be assigned tasks to support the military Rotational Training Units MILES install / de-install and instrumentation.
  • Will be cross-trained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other WTRS contract equipment on the installation.
