About The Position

The position involves leading electronic maintenance activities, including resourcing and training other electronic technicians. The role requires performing scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available. The individual will inform the government of maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand. It is essential to ensure that maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing. The technician will record all maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE and adhere to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location. Additionally, the role includes setting up and testing TADSS to confirm they work as expected, including interoperability and operation verification. The technician will monitor hardware baselines, revert to previous versions if updates fail, analyze maintenance trends, track component consumption, manage obsolescence, implement risk management strategies, and conduct failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability. The position is also responsible for configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS and GFP devices, installing modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions, and may serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites. Responsibilities may also include installing and maintaining software and hardware installs and managing patches and security compliance for installed applications and operating systems.
