About The Position

Electronic Technician II (Oklahoma City, OK) Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. Capable of working to takt and quality expectations in 3-5 product environments . Capable of performing moderate product testing . Able to operate independently . Provide feedback to management on the following topics: lean suggestions, ideas for process improvement, noted possible quality concerns, potential safety concerns. What will you be doing? Performs electromechanical production assembly processes of a repetitive nature to assemble units using components such as PC boards, fabricated metal, machined metals, cable harnesses and minor electronic or mechanical subassemblies (75%) Performs test, troubleshooting to component level, and alignment on all manufactured products utilizing electronic technology . Capable of measuring and adjusting voltages to specified working levels. Capable of working within a team environment and clearly communicating to all levels of management. (100%) Accountable for accurately and legibly (penmanship) completing device history forms used for compliance. (100%) Adhering to established assembly processes and company policies for compliance, personal safety and employee relations. (100%) Maintains proper standards for work area and tools including 5S. (100%) Must be cognizant (observation) of device defects, which may occur from the supplier, or damaged during the process. (100%) May carry out special projects as assigned by management. (10%) What will you need to be successful? This position does not offe r visa sponsorship now or in the future

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • 4-7 years
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Computer skills
  • communication skills
  • penmanship
  • proficient use of electronic test equipment including Oscilloscopes, frequency meters, waveform monitors and vector scopes
  • H and-eye coordination, lifting up to 30 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Technical associate degree preferred.
  • soldering preferred
