About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Electronics Technician II (RIS) to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL. The role involves working with Range Instrumentation Systems (RIS) including communications systems, data link systems, radar systems, destruct systems, computer controlled console systems, displays, ground stations, RF systems, and tower mounted equipment. The technician will utilize test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot systems, perform depot repairs, and conduct organizational and intermediate maintenance on aircraft, targets, radar, and other associated equipment. The technician will apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems, assist in the development and installation of modifications, and maintain technical documentation and records.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Engineering or similar discipline.
• Active CompTIA A+ or higher cyber security certification within 90 days of start date.
• Must possess or obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to perform work as a tower climber.
• Overtime, weekend, and TDY work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, repair, maintain, service, rebuild, modify, and troubleshoot AATTCS and Range Communications.
• Utilize test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot systems.
• Perform depot repairs associated with RIS.
• Conduct organizational and intermediate maintenance and repairs to aircraft, targets, radar, and COMSEC material.
• Assist in the development and installation of modifications associated with aircraft and targets.
• Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex depot level problems.
• Initiate and edit technical documentation and drawings.
• Maintain maintenance records and enter maintenance actions in forms and/or automated records.
• Provide technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc.
• Provide technical guidance and training to equal or lower level personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor.
