About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician Maintenance II to
join the ever-growing Phoenix Defense Germany GmbH team. This position provides
technical support for the Home Station Instrumentation Training System (HITS)
training devices under Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS).
This position requires frequent multi-country travel.

Requirements

• Two to three years (2-3) experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting
• Must have a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required
• Sound written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be able to support various locations for various lengths of training support

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the HITS devices preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, packing, and shipping the HITS components and sub-components.
• Repair components and sub-components to blueprint, manuals and customer specifications using hand tools, power tools and grinders.
• Apply basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting military specifications, manufacturer’s manuals, or similar technical documents to perform training system PMCS, troubleshooting and fault isolation.
• Installs parts or repair parts using screws and hand tools.
• Perform installation and operations for users/operators using Government documents to understand the functional and operational capabilities of the HITS systems.
• Must be able to use a Management Information System (MIS) to record all maintenance and inventory actions.
• Work closely with Instructors during training execution to resolve software/hardware issues in a timely manner so they do not detract from the training experience.
• Assist in maintaining other training devices during manpower shortages and training surges.
