About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Electronic Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join our 737 Environmental Control Systems engineering team in Renton, Washington. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality to positively impact the design of Electrical Systems. The candidate will join a team that supports the development and documentation of Environmental Control Systems design and provides production and customer support to Environmental Control Systems in the Factory, Flight Line, Delivery Center, and In-service Fleet for 737 and P-8. Systems include but are not limited to: Cabin Pressure Control, Cabin Air Conditioning and Temperature Control, Air Supply Control, Wing and Engine Anti-Ice, and Equipment Cooling. The qualified candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will need to effectively collaborate with others in a team environment and use leadership, creativity, engineering judgement, and problem-solving skills to address a diverse range of engineering problems and fully integrate design solutions. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience in electrical design and analysis engineering or related role.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in electrical design, analysis, verification, validation, and requirements development of Environmental Control Systems.
  • Familiarity with functional schematics, datasheets, and part drawings.
  • Experience with using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and other electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and documentation of Electrical Environmental Control Systems to establish system design.
  • Performs and documents analysis to validate and verify that systems and components meet operational functional requirements and specifications.
  • Identifies problems, performs root cause corrective analysis, and implements corrective actions utilizing the Boeing Program Solving Method (BPSM).
  • Supports and helps maintain quality in the building and testing of Environmental Control Systems to meet production demands.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Identifies design improvements, collaborates with suppliers, and researches specific technology advancements for potential applications to meet company business needs.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including other engineering disciplines.
