About The Position

The Electronic Security Technician will own their work and contribute to the organization's growth as we scale into a truly global provider of electronic security services, providing turnkey, white glove services to our clientele. The Electronic Security Technician plans, executes, monitors, controls, and delivers the completed project to our clients, start to finish. Their technical skills and experience in the electronic security industry will prove valuable to their success. This position will require some travel. The job role will focus on electronic security installations for the Asset Security department. This individual will be a core team member, customer-facing, results-driven, and ensuring the protection of people, property, and products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of electronic security field experience as a technician.
  • A high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferable.
  • Experience traveling to sites and maintaining reliable transportation methods.
  • Experience with firewalls and networking equipment (routers and switches).
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage job projects to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; second language skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing relationships on assignments.
  • Maintaining composure with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to write technical documentation, interpret technical instructions, and analyze data.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all assigned installation and service projects are appropriately managed per Global Guardian Asset Security Technology policies and procedures.
  • Manages and supports subcontractors and other trade partners.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage projects and project plans and provide training where required.
  • Manages client expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Perform installation and service of various video, access control, locking hardware, intrusion, intercom, and other low voltage systems to ensure delivery to contract/scope of work as outlined in the project documentation.
  • Configure, test, and commission network and other communications equipment to confirm connectivity locally and at GSOC for monitoring.
  • Maintain high-level programming knowledge in IP Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, and related technologies.
  • Interface with voice, telecommunications, and network personnel as needed to support SOC hardware, services, and vendors.
  • Manage and or support special projects as needed.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.
  • Provide on-call support and response as needed.
  • Respond remotely or physically as necessary, depending on the client and issue.
