Salary of $54,000 to $101,000 per year depending on your experience. What You’ll Do as an Electronic Systems Technician Your day‑to‑day work will be diverse, hands‑on, and technically engaging. You’ll collaborate with experienced project managers to install and service advanced commercial electronic systems from the ground up — following plans, blueprints, and industry codes. About IPS Integrated Protection Systems, Inc. installs and services advanced security technologies across multiple industries including housing, hospitality, gaming, and municipal sectors. We are headquartered in Minnesota and work on projects nationwide with employees in Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. Requirements

  • Have 2 years recent experience installing access control and camera systems
  • Are self‑motivated and eager to build a career in the electronic security/low‑voltage field
  • Are comfortable using their electronic security skills independently or as part of a team
  • Can read security system plans and follow a scope of work
  • Have a passion for technologies like access control, surveillance, security, electronics, and networking
  • Can pass a background check, drug screen, and maintain a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Installing, wiring, and programming access control panels, card readers, and locks
  • Installing, wiring, and programming video cameras and recording devices
  • Installing and terminating low voltage and fiber optic cabling
  • Servicing and troubleshooting low voltage systems
  • Providing Systems Training to customers
  • Tracking assets, materials, and work notes via mobile app
