About The Position

The Electronic Records Specialist plays a vital role in processing case files and documents from various sources and will need to ensure the accurate filing, scanning, auditing, tracking, and destruction of records per established electronic record keeping policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Two years of administrative and clerical experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Nice To Haves

  • Records experience in a law office, court, criminal justice or indigent defense setting
  • Experience working with electronic records or case management systems
  • Working knowledge of OnBase and/or JustWare

Responsibilities

  • Maintains electronic and physical records and files
  • Prepares files/documents for scanning then scans and indexes documents
  • Performs regular quality control checks
  • Reprocesses documents returned because of correction
  • Reviews, files, and processes electronic and paper documents
  • Boxes and transport files for destruction or for long-term storage
  • Pulls and prepares physical or electronic files for appropriate dissemination, including dividing, sorting, redacting, and scanning
  • Performs scanning equipment checks and maintenance
  • Serves as backup to Justice System Clerk positions as needed
