About The Position

First Choice Health Centers is seeking an experienced Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Training Manager who will be responsible for providing training and support to all employees who utilize the company electronic health record system. This position assesses company-wide EHR developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of healthcare experience and instructional expertise to deliver effective, role-based training on our electronic health record system. In this role, you will develop and facilitate engaging training programs for clinical and administrative staff, support system go-lives and upgrades, and serve as a trusted resource for end users navigating the EHR. The budgeted pay range for this position is $68,000 - $75,000. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors. These may include education, work experience, and in some instances certifications and licensure. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleague's pay. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Equivalent work experience with minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be accepted in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting an enterprise-class Electronic Health Records system, with at least one of those years supporting eClinicalWorks (ECW).
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to plan and implement training programs including course outlines and lesson plans.
  • Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to implement successfully, collaborating across organizational lines.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple projects and function effectively as a self- directed leader of multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center a plus
  • Preferred experience in curriculum design and a track record of executing successful training programs in a professional training environment.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for all issues and requests relating to the company electronic health record (EHR)
  • Manage all upgrades and feature implementations in partnership with IT as needed.
  • Provide daily support to end users through troubleshooting and coaching, including unlocking user accounts and resetting passwords as needed.
  • Manage dictation software/hardware in conjunction with EHR system.
  • Create working hours and templates for Providers/Resources following First Choice scheduling rules.
  • Create, modify and terminate (as necessary) electronic health record user accounts and user groups, including modifications of appropriate security settings.
  • Review admin access logs as needed for EHR related investigations.
  • Set up out-of-office settings in EHR as needed and delegate "telephone encounters" as directed.
  • Work with various departments (Clinical, Operations, Finance, etc.) to examine workflows within the system and make updated recommendations as appropriate.
  • Manage notifications and EHR Related communications.
  • Attend and/or participate in EHR related training to stay up to date on system features.
  • Manage setup of New Employee Orientation including but not limited to coordination of general orientation setup. learning management system assignments, and coordination on department orientation schedules.
  • Train new and current employees on electronic health record functionality, center scheduling rules and on our patient success platform, Luma Health.
  • Manage learning management system (LMS) to ensure all training is recorded in keeping with regulatory requirements.
  • Create, modify and terminate (as necessary) LMS user logins and passwords.
  • Update LMS Course Bundles to meet compliance requirements.
  • Run LMS Assignment Completion Reports for annual and one-time courses
  • Design and/or deliver work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills or organizational performance.
  • Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos or lectures.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as intranet, company blog, etc. to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Coordinates training with external agencies to provide specialized training to support internal program curriculum.
