About The Position

The Electronic Duplicating System Technician operates advanced duplicating equipment to convert customer data into production-ready formats. This role involves setting up and managing high-speed copiers, scanning and inserting images, and operating various bindery machines. The technician also provides guidance to lower-graded operators and maintains accurate records of work completed.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience in operating large, high-speed production copiers/duplicators.
• Experience with personal computers and various software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
• Ability to perform data entry for cost estimates and customer service inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer workstation to receive and convert customer data into production formats.
• Set up and operate large, high-speed copiers/duplicators for reproducing multiple copies of various materials.
• Scan and insert hardcopy or previously stored images into customer documents according to specifications.
• Operate bindery machines such as guillotine cutters and shrink-wrap machines.
• Utilize network software to capture and merge data from various software packages.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and written procedures to lower-graded operators.
• Maintain records of work completed and notify supervisor of job completion.
