About The Position

The Electronic Design Engineer 5 designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components and integrated circuitry used in the creation of inertial sensors and sensor systems. The position requires an individual that is self-driven, organized, hardworking, energetic, and works well with team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in product development.
• Experience owning product development from concept proof through production release.
• Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills.
• Expert experience using schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Efficient in creation of customer presentable documentation.
• Experience with Python, C, C#, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Gain intimate knowledge of product designs and functionality.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of inertial product specifications.
• Coordinate and perform product design activities.
• Create product development schedule from concept to production release.
• Provide weekly status updates on products in development.
• Create hardware designs for new products.
• Document all design documentation using Company PLM system.
• Organize, document, and hold product design reviews.
• Identify the complete matrix of testable features by product.
• Use product test matrix to identify and assess risk.
• Update product specifications based on test results.
• Troubleshoot failing products in production to root cause.
• Track production hardware failures to drive DFM revisions.
• Train engineering technicians on product technical aspects.
• Delegate product troubleshooting to engineering technicians.
