About The Position

As an Electronic Design Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in the design and development of electronic systems and components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects while gaining valuable experience in the aerospace industry. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. External hires will begin with 90 days onsite before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid scheduled. Internal hires will continue their hybrid schedules. In this role, you will impact the development of innovative electronic solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of aerospace products, contributing to the overall success of Honeywell in the aerospace sector. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 0-2 years of experience in electronic design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in electronic design software and tools, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with testing and validation processes for electronic systems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic aerospace systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in electronic design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electronic systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define electronic requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in testing and validation of electronic designs to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Travel, up to 50%, may be expected.
