About The Position

As an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Specialist at KCH Transportation, you will be responsible for managing, implementing, and maintaining EDI systems to facilitate seamless communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams. This role is critical in ensuring efficient data exchange processes, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing logistics operations to enhance client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an EDI Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., FTP, AS2, VAN).
• Experience with EDI mapping and translation tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, Gentran, or similar platforms).
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain processes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, test, and deploy EDI transactions for trading partners.
• Monitor daily EDI transactions and troubleshoot errors to ensure accurate data exchange.
• Manage EDI mapping and translation between various systems and standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather EDI requirements and resolve issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for EDI-related inquiries and concerns.
• Support IT and logistics teams in integrating EDI solutions with internal systems.
• Ensure EDI processes comply with industry standards and company policies.
• Maintain detailed documentation for EDI configurations, transactions, and error resolutions.
• Identify opportunities for optimizing EDI workflows and reducing manual interventions.
• Recommend and implement solutions to enhance data accuracy and system efficiency.
