About The Position

At Ultimation, an MCE Company, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical/Assembler Technician to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial conveyor systems and material handling products, including assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and testing. You will be responsible for assembling, programming, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, as well as performing light fabrication and assembly tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely work at heights using ladders or scissor lifts (training provided).
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments for loading and unloading.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be able to follow safety protocols and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical, or fabrication environment is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical and Mechanical Assembly: Assemble and wire low-voltage components and larger systems.
  • Perform light mechanical assembly, including cutting, drilling, and painting, for conveyors and material handling products.
  • Assist with the setup of motorized conveyors, sensors, and electrical systems.
  • Product Identification and Inventory Management: Learn about various conveyor and material handling products.
  • Identify and track SKU’s of products, ensuring they are correctly picked, packed, and shipped.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure product availability.
  • Troubleshooting and Testing: Assist with the troubleshooting and commissioning of conveyors, motors, sensors, and related equipment.
  • Perform basic testing of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure proper function.
  • Shipping and Packaging: Pick products from warehouse locations and prepare shipments.
  • Package orders for ground and freight shipments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Order Management: Record order details and enter them into computer systems.
  • Follow pick and pack schedules provided by the sales department.
  • Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Track and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed while working in the warehouse and on job sites.
  • Occasional Travel: Occasional travel to customer job sites for installations, repairs, or troubleshooting (less than 10% travel).
  • Use company vehicles for picking up and delivering shipments as needed.
