Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Install and maintain mobile radios, radio base stations and other types of communication equipment; including analog and DMR Tier 3 trunked radio, SCADA and Microwave; used by the company in accordance with FCC regulations and accepted manufacturers and industry standards. Consult with and recommend radio communication solutions to area managers. Responsibility involves the operation of a communications system in a designated geographical area. Work with company departments to interface systems with new and existing equipment, i.e. Data and SCADA hardware, Mobile Work Force, fiber optics, etc. Assists in the maintenance of other electronic systems as required. MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS Electronic Communications Specialist I: Offers Typically Made between $30.70 - $38.38 per hour Must possess a working knowledge of electronics and communication systems at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in electronics or communications. Electronic Communications Specialist II: Offers Typically Made between $40.61 - $50.75 per hour Must possess a working knowledge of electronics and communication systems normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in electronics or communications; and Four years of increasing responsibility with electrical, electronics, or communication equipment. Electronic Communications Specialist, Sr.: Offers Typically Made between $46.69 - $58.36 per hour Must possess a working knowledge of electronics and communication systems normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in electronics or communications; and Six years of increasing responsibility with electrical, electronics, or communication equipment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorship considered. Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks. May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems. Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
