About The Position

The position is for a part-time role in the Neurodiagnostic Lab at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis, focusing on EEG and Electroneurodiagnostics. The schedule includes days from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with possible on-call duties and rotating holidays. The role involves performing diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing, monitoring patients, and maintaining EEG equipment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.
• 1-2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.
• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
• Review patient's record and instruct patients prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts.
• Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
