About The Position

Pelham Road - Greenville, SC | 2nd shift 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (includes a 10% shift premium and paid lunch breaks) Looking to level up your welding or machining game? We build components that power industrial gas turbines that power the WORLD—and we’re looking for a hands-on, detail-obsessed Electron Beam Welder (or machinist with metallurgy chops) to help us keep the sparks flying. What You’ll Do: Run high-tech electron beam welding systems in a clean, controlled (& air-conditioned) environment Join exotic metals like Inconel, Hastelloy, and other alloys with surgical precision Partner with engineering and QA to ensure mission-critical welds meet spec What You Bring: 3+ years in welding, machining, or metal fabrication Ability to pass a 6G weld test is a HUGE PLUS Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-spec manufacturing preferred The ability to read a blueprint and not break a sweat Curiosity, consistency, and zero tolerance for half-baked welds Why Work Here? Requirements

  • 3+ years in welding, machining, or metal fabrication
  • The ability to read a blueprint and not break a sweat
  • Curiosity, consistency, and zero tolerance for half-baked welds
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years in welding, machining, or special processes related to precision metal joining or cutting
  • Prior experience with EB welding or vacuum-based manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work independently; to make good, sound, and timely decisions & exercise proper judgment and discretion
  • Ability to understand, track, organize, and successfully complete multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact diplomatically with employees, customers, and associates
  • Ability to handle and process information in a timely and confidential manner
  • Ability to sustain high energy and enthusiasm with the appropriate level of urgency as needed
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand all drawings, routers, and process specifications
  • Ability to meet production and quality performance metrics regularly and consistently
  • Ability to learn and accurately use company computer software programs as related to role
  • Ability to work independently while making good, sound, and timely decisions
  • Ability to receive and understand training by various methods: i.e., oral, written, on-the-job, computer-based, etc.
  • Proficient writing and speaking skills with ability to communicate professionally, objectively, and effectively
  • Sufficient ability to read, write, and speak in English and be understood; able to follow instructions
  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to be able to read and view paperwork, printouts, screens, etc.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to type and operate equipment as related to fulfilling assigned duties
  • Ability to uphold and comply with the company Mission, Safety and Quality Policies
  • Must have speaking ability; and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job
  • Must be able to sit/stand continuously on a daily basis
  • Must be able to twist, turn, bend, and reach freely without pain or discomfort
  • Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform routine operation of equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to pass a 6G weld test is a HUGE PLUS
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-spec manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and prepare components for EB welding operations
  • Operate electron beam welding equipment per build instructions, drawings, and process procedures
  • Ensure adherence to required weld parameters and quality standards for critical components
  • Document work accurately and maintain traceability throughout production cycles
  • Clean and prepare weld joints using approved procedures
  • Load and unload components into vacuum chambers and fixtures
  • Monitor weld chamber vacuum levels and equipment status
  • Adjust weld parameters and positioning based on part specs and material behavior
  • Perform electron beam welds on nickel-based alloys, stainless steels, and titanium
  • Coordinate with leadership and engineering when deviations or anomalies arise
  • Assist in tracking production flow and meeting department throughput targets
  • Check and inspect work at in-process and final checkpoints as per documented weld procedures
  • Visually examine and inspect work in-process for conformance as required – i.e., using Fillet Gauges
  • Promote and assist others to meet Quality Policy and ISO standards and customer expectations
  • Record, verify, and review results for product requirement and/or conformance
  • Input all build data and accurately voucher time and materials into manufacturing software system
  • Receive and understand daily job assignments, priorities, and work instruction
  • Organize, clean, and maintain area tools, and equipment daily
  • Assure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean, and organized
  • Performs all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practices
  • Establish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workers
  • Willingly performs other duties as trained and able
