About The Position

Essential Functions: Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment and/or machinery, including issues related to electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic components. Performs preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on equipment and/or machinery based on usage and manufacturers' specifications. Cleans, lubricates, and calibrates parts and components of equipment and/or machinery. Disassembles equipment and/or machinery components to replace or repair worn or damaged parts such as motors, pumps, ball screw linear rails, etc. Tests repaired equipment and/or machinery to ensure proper operation, accuracy, and precision. Performs adjustments as needed. Installs upgraded or replace components for equipment and/or machinery and runs test cycles to verify proper functioning. Creates and updates equipment and/or machinery maintenance logs and repair records. Communicates equipment and/or machinery status, projected downtime, and operation of repaired equipment to necessary stakeholders. Mains spare parts inventory. Places orders as needed. Maintains up to date on the latest advances in equipment and/or machinery technology, control systems, and repair techniques. Complies with safety procedures and protocols for equipment and/or machinery repairs and maintenance. Work closely with engineering and assemblers. Assists engineers in evaluation of incoming repairs not seen before and identifies necessary test equipment and parts to restore them to factory specifications. Provides feedback on special engineering tasks that require extensive mechanical knowledge. Performs soldering work including melting and applying solder to circuit boards or other metal components to fuse pieces together. Performs complex reworking of parts. Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require as directed by management. Education and Experience: Associate degree in electromechanical technology, mechatronics, robotics, or a similar field. Minimum five (5) years of experience with precision mechanical assembly. Advanced experience with assembling mechanical components using torque wrenches.
