About The Position

Electromechanical Systems Reliability Technician Location: Downingtown, PA Picture your afternoon starting at 3:00 pm: you review a schematic for a packaging line upgrade, lock out a conveyor, and bring a VFD online after tuning its parameters. A production supervisor radios in about an intermittent fault—your multimeter, PLC software, and knack for troubleshooting isolate a failing starter. By 11:00 pm, the line is humming, controls are stable, and you’ve logged updates for the next shift. What you’ll tackle Apply deep knowledge of electrical theory, NEC standards, materials, and electrical equipment operation to keep systems safe and reliable. Start up and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements for activation and shutdown. Use electrical test equipment to isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical devices. Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar devices. Measure, cut, thread, pull, and install electrical conduit; use trade-appropriate hand and power tools. Install conduits, transformers, pull boxes, and switches. Service and repair starters, motors, and a variety of electrical apparatus. Fabricate non‑commercially available parts using common machine and hand tools. Determine needs, analyze conditions, and make running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls. Troubleshoot and repair electric controls, motor control centers (MCCs), and programmable logic controls (PLCs). Install and repair electrical equipment; design electrical control circuits; install electrical wiring. Identify equipment and material requirements for projects; read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Coordinate project needs with Maintenance and Production Supervisors/Managers. Assist with training and upskilling maintenance personnel and production associates (machine operators). Continually demonstrate proficiency consistent with the role’s job-skill requirements. Participate in plant emergencies as required; maintain certifications/training as directed to respond effectively. Provide leadership aligned with all safety programs.
