About The Position

Responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'). Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
• Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
• Performs cost estimating.
• Troubleshoots equipment.
• Initiates purchase for equipment and maintenance supplies.
• Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.
• Significant management and contractor interactions including design, costing, quoting and executing electrical systems, control systems and automation upgrades.
• Coordination, support and installation of various electrical system projects.
• Provide engineering support for projects designed and built both internally and externally.
