This is an entry level position within the enterprise mechanical ground packaging and non-flight cable design team. Supporting programs across the LM Space Enterprise. In this role you will collaborate with electrical engineers to package/house electrical test equipment. This will require using CREO to create 3D models of hardware. Also in this role you will work with senior cable designers to learn the intricate details of cable design in the age of digital transformation. This position is a full-time onsite 9X80 work shift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • MCAD modeling and drafting experience.
  • Experience with GD&T.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.)
  • Exposure to CREO CAD modeling and Zuken E3
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with specifications/procedures
  • Ability to communicate issues and additional resource needs to leadership
  • Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing)
  • Knowledge of wire harness and cables design of electrical\mechanical interconnects for test equipment.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical design principles for test equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and with adjacent disciplines
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on hardware experience
