Work Description: Develop, revise, and maintain electrical and electromechanical schematics for motion systems and engineered-to-order equipment Create detailed wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and BOMs to support manufacturing and assembly Work closely with Electrical Engineers and Controls Engineers to translate functional requirements into accurate schematics Support engineered-to-order projects by adapting standard designs to customer-specific requirements Ensure drawings comply with applicable industry standards, internal design guidelines, and safety requirements Maintain document control and revision history within MVP’s CAD/PDM systems Provide technical clarification and drawing support to Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service teams Assist in troubleshooting and updating schematics based on field feedback or design changes Support standardization initiatives by helping convert custom designs into repeatable, modular documentation where applicable

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Drafting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience creating electrical or electromechanical schematics in an industrial or automation environment
  • Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of: Industrial control panels, motion systems (motors, drives, encoders, sensors), PLC I/O, power distribution, and grounding practices
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and collaborate across disciplines
  • High attention to detail and strong document management skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Other physical activity includes standing, sitting for long periods of time, reaching, grasping, stooping, pushing, kneeling, and pulling.
  • Ability to use PPE in a manufacturing environment where safety is priority.
  • Travel – up to 20%.

Responsibilities
