About The Position

The Electromechanical Assembler works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions but must generally follow well established precedents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three (3) or more years of related electronics assembly experience.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • This position may interact with other departments within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering. The position requires strong cooperative teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills will be needed to log into work orders, access timecards, and log workorders for special process.
  • Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, common hand tools and the use of a microscope.

Responsibilities

  • Working under the microscopes for long periods of time.
  • Handling of small parts and piezoelectric crystals.
  • Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques.
  • Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions.
  • High voltage potting and high voltage testing
