Requirements

  • Degree from an ABET accredited university preferred in the areas of Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D. with a minimum of 14 years of experience, a Master's with at least 18 years of experience, or a BS with at least 20 years of experience.
  • Experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis as related to space or flight hardware and systems.
  • Experience in evaluating test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and -462 is a plus.
  • Proficient with PC and appropriate software programs.
  • Experience with ISS hardware and payloads is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems level support in the area of EMC/EMI to support the NASA Spaceflight Programs.
  • Conduct EMC analysis, test planning, and circuit test and analysis.
  • Evaluate test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring.
  • Prepare progress reports and schedules to support design reviews and team meetings.
