Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
One to three (1-3) years of previous EEG experience.
Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college-level coursework.
Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET.
One (1) year of experience in the specialty.

Responsibilities

Responsible for utilizing an electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain; applying electrodes to predetermined positions on the patient’s scalp
Take and verify recordings.
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and adjust specialized equipment.
Monitor, transcribe physician orders, and perform other support duties, including but not limited to paging physicians.
Obtain insurance pre-certification.
Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities.
Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
