Get to Know Your Team: Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One to three (1-3) years of previous EEG experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college-level coursework.
  • Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET
  • One (1) year of experience in the specialty

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for utilizing an electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain; applying electrodes to predetermined positions on the patient's scalp
  • Take and verify recordings.
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and adjust specialized equipment.
  • Monitor, transcribe physician orders, and perform other support duties, including but not limited to paging physicians.
  • Obtain insurance pre-certification.
  • Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
