  • Experience with electrode coating facilities, familiarity with slot-die or roll-to-roll (R2R) systems is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to follow complex, multi-step recipes and chemical formulas with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform work in cleanroom, dry room, or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching, and twisting motions with hands.
  • Pay attention to details and different recipes and formulas for cell fabrication.
  • Adhere to company’s quality and safety requirements. Committed to environmental health and safety.
  • Strong work ethic, highly accountable, and good communications skills.
  • Clear written and verbal skills to communicate your observations and ideas and collaborate with colleagues to tackle technical challenges.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 1 – 3 years of experience as an Equipment Operator or Technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, Solar, Battery, Electronics, or Automotive.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate electrode coating facility to fabricate different cathode and anode electrode formulations.
  • Collaborate directly with R&D engineers and scientists to execute complex experiments, ensuring all recipes and formulas are followed with high attention to detail.
  • Clearly communicate observations, technical challenges, and project updates to the broader R&D team.
  • Meticulously input process data and observations into quality management software to support R&D traceability.
  • Use small equipment and hand tools to produce components and battery cells.
  • Safely and efficiently operate large-scale coating equipment as well as small hand tools required for component production.
  • Perform measure of materials with micrometer, mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper to ensure specifications are met.
  • Conduct visual inspections to evaluate and categorize electrode defects based on established quality standards.
  • Input data into quality management software to support R&D traceability.
  • Execute the physical assembly of components into complete, functional battery cells for testing.
  • Adhere strictly to safety requirements while working in cleanrooms, dry rooms, or fume hoods, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
