About The Position

We are seeking two skilled and certified Electrocardiograph (ECG) Technicians to support the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). As part of the Cardiology Division, you will play a vital role in performing a wide range of non -invasive diagnostic procedures, including resting ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise stress testing. You will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure accurate diagnostics and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Experience with ECG lead placement, stress testing, and ambulatory monitoring
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ECG equipment operation
  • Ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies and arrhythmias
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Perform ECGs, exercise stress tests, and ambulatory monitoring for inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Operate and maintain ECG equipment; troubleshoot and report issues to Biomedical Engineering.
  • Evaluate test results and communicate abnormalities to physicians.
  • Monitor patient vitals and ensure safety during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in CPRS, VISTA, and MUSE systems.
  • Schedule patients, manage inventory, and support administrative tasks.
  • Provide excellent patient care and customer service in line with “patient -centered care” principles.
