Observes cardiac monitors and identifies, calculates, interprets and communicates information regarding cardiac rhythms. Applies and discontinues telemetry services as instructed. Enters telemetry charges, edits, and other paperwork as applicable to the department. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical terminology and CPR-basic knowledge.
• Ability to operate electronic and computer-based equipment.
• Ability to recognize technical inferior EKG and take corrective action.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiac monitor interpretation.
• Ability to assess and interpret data about the patient's status.
• Sensitivity to patient's needs and cultural diversity.
• Ability to effectively teach others on cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with MUSE system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
