About The Position
As a DigiKey Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the DigiKey department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you'll work on throughout the internship. The ESD Program Control Intern is responsible for assisting with verification that Digi-Key's ESD Control program is compliant with the S20.20 standard. This team ensures that the documented management system in place is effective through systematic examination and verification of ESD control items, records, documentation, and physical inspections. This team supports and maintains the ESD Control Program and supporting documents through testing, setting up of stations, and other duties as assigned. The outcome will be reported out on lessons learned and new perspectives gained. This is an essential onsite role and requires onsite attendance. Interns will be provided with local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) if they select Thief River Falls as their internship home base. However, housing cannot be provided for Bloomington-based internships. Throughout the internship, you will engage in various responsibilities including area and station setup, compliance verification testing, and testing packaging materials. You will also have the opportunity to work on a capstone project that involves defining ESD Control Procedures and making suggestions for improvement based on research conducted during the internship.
