Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Electro-Optical Summer 2026 Intern to support lab testing of a space-based system. In this role you will learn about and support systems engineering activities related to systems testing and systems analysis ranging from assisting in the lab with lab equipment, supporting testing and data collection of the system and its components, helping with assessing recording results, helping with documenting, and assisting with lab maintenance.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in an Aerospace Engineering or Physics Degree program or similar from an accredited college/university.
  • Ability with a high-level programming language including C/C++, MATLAB, or Python with a focus on numerical computation or numerical data processing.
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience or coursework related to Electro-optical sciences or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience or coursework related to digital imaging systems, data processing, signal/image processing, or lab data collection.
  • Experience with lab testing or data analysis related to demonstrating achieving either hardware or software performance.
