Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in product testing, validation, or verification of electro‑mechanical or mechanical systems (relevant co‑op/internship experience may be considered).
  • Hands‑on experience designing or executing test plans and documenting results.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use test data to drive decisions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, and test instrumentation.
  • Background in automotive, off‑highway, industrial, or similar equipment.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting field tests with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute verification and test plans for new and existing electro‑mechanical products (lab and field) to ensure performance, reliability, and safety targets are met.
  • Design test methods, fixtures, and instrumentation, conduct tests, and document procedures and results in clear engineering reports for design and management review.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering to review requirements, define acceptance criteria, and resolve issues discovered during testing or pilot production builds.
  • Support product release decisions by providing data‑driven recommendations on readiness, including sign‑off on test reports and input to engineering change documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor product field tests with customers, collect performance data, and translate findings into design and test improvements.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams (manufacturing, sales, customer service) on test results, product performance, and application‑related questions.
  • Occasionally visit customer sites with sales or engineering to understand applications, troubleshoot issues, and gather requirements for future enhancements (typical travel around 10–20%).
