We are seeking a talented and motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the electronic and mechanical maintenance requirements on high speed filling and packaging equipment, autoclaves, sterilization tunnels and ovens, process support systems and vision systems. Also responsible for systems programming of computer control programmable logic controller interfaces. Should be able to perform critical calibrations of process control equipment associated with production equipment, the WFI system, autoclaves, sterilization equipment, etc. to NIST Standards. Must be able to evaluate and order critical spare parts. Maintains equipment maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with SOP and cGMP guidelines. Completes necessary Corrective and Preventative Work Orders, as well as assigned calibrations. Performs set-ups or changeovers of equipment as necessary per the production schedule. Works closely with Operations and Engineering personnel to meet production goals and objectives.

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electronic and mechanical issues on all production equipment on the sterile filling and packaging lines to minimize production downtime.
  • Repairs, programs, adjusts and calibrates plant wide control and instrumentation.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
  • Maintains equipment maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with SOP and cGMP guidelines.
  • Maintains the calibration of all in-house instrumentation including documentation.
  • Provides technical support to other plant departments.
  • Uses computer and logic controllers to perform system analysis of system equipment.
  • Maintains electronic test and repair equipment in a high state of readiness.
  • Programs logic controller and makes changes to existing programs as directed by supervision.
  • Performs set-ups, changeovers and start-up adjustments of equipment as necessary.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs air regulators, air filters, air actuated valves, pneumatic controls and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs steam regulators, steam traps, steam strainers, steam piping associated with autoclaves, tunnels, ovens and other facilities maintenance equipment.
  • Performs other duties as directed by management personnel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years maintenance experience maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed equipment, computer programming, calibrating process controls and troubleshooting process controls
  • Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming in Allen Bradley and Siemens a plus
  • Knowledge of vision systems (Cognex, Systech) a plus
  • Must have a thorough knowledge troubleshooting equipment to include oscilloscopes, volt/ampere meters, frequency standards, calibration equipment and programmable logic controllers
  • Excellent knowledge required in use of other precision electronic equipment under their cognizance
  • Certificate of completion from 2-3 year electronics trade or technical school desired
  • cGMPs experience a plus
