PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of our Maintenance Tean. As the Electro-mechanical Technician at PennEngineering, you’ll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things. The primary responsibility of the Electro-Mechanical Technician is maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electro-mechanical equipment and systems. This includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as well as control circuits and PLCs. The technician will support production and facility operations by ensuring equipment runs efficiently and downtime is minimized. Join us as we build the future in Manufacturing and Engineering!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role
  • Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred) and electrical control systems
  • Proficient with AC/DC motors, VFDs, sensors, and relays
  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
  • Experience with both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of detail
  • Independent work ethic and self-starter mindset

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems and control circuits
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify issues before failure
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC logic
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Maintain documentation of repairs, parts usage, and completed work in CMMS
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and company standards
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Perform other duties as required.
