About The Position

Located in Mooresville, NC – 111 Excellence Lane – off Penske Way, Magnera is looking for a highly skilled experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team. As part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan, this exceptional individual overseas & troubleshoots machinery issues and keeps an eye on mechanical and electrical devices. The right person will have a significant impact on run-time efficiency (RTE) and total plant uptime.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician or equivalent education in industrial maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • MAPEX & SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Have a clear understanding of and strictly comply with LO/TO policy.
  • Serves as a member of the emergency response team, with training required in the following: Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/BBP, Fire Extinguisher
  • Review work orders with resources as they are received, ask for clarification, and confer with the requestor for additional clarification when needed.
  • Wears appropriate PPE as required
  • Act as a group leader during preventive maintenance shutdowns.
  • Provides training in operations in maintenance activities associated with Total Productive Maintenance practices.
  • Maintains a team effort attitude and approach, familiarizes with new equipment and assists in training other technicians
  • Serves as a resource to Process Engineering and Plant Leadership in resolving customer complaints.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs problems with production equipment and continuously monitors electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan.
  • Performs small installations and equipment modification projects.
  • Documents are all modifications made to equipment during repairs (i.e., updating schematics, drawings, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
