The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. This role supports production reliability by performing preventative maintenance, identifying root causes of equipment issues, and ensuring safe, efficient operations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment, including motors, PLC-controlled systems, conveyors, sensors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Install, align, and calibrate electro-mechanical components, machinery, and control systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using multimeters, diagnostic software, oscilloscopes, and other testing instruments.
  • Repair or replace motors, drives, switches, relays, control panels, gearboxes, pumps, and related components.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements.
  • Document maintenance activities, repair logs, and parts usage in the maintenance system (CMMS).
  • Ensure all work follows safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with production teams to reduce recurring issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, PLCs, sensors, and automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, control wiring, motor controls, VFDs, and mechanical assembly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Basic PC skills for documentation and CMMS entry.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, work from heights, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, or moving machinery.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift
  • Overtime as requested.
  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical work (or equivalent technical experience).
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, robotics, or automated manufacturing equipment is preferred.
  • Certifications/Degree such as Mechatronics, or Industrial Electrician are a plus.
