Electro-Mechanical Technician

Walco Electric Company, a well-established firm in Providence, RI, has been a leader in the field of motor mechanics and electro-mechanical services for over 90 years. We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team in our industrial services and large motor repair shop. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and skills in a hands-on environment, working with a variety of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and testing of AC/DC electric motors, as well as pumps and gearboxes. Your role will also involve performing various machine tasks, including balancing and undercutting, and inspecting and processing component parts to meet our time and quality standards. This position requires a dependable individual who is safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an industrial environment and must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs and standing for extended periods while working. Overtime may be required based on business needs, and we are looking for someone who is willing to work additional hours as necessary. This is a full-time position with a starting rate based on experience, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package to our employees.
