About The Position

Assist KLA employees with electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems with non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment. Assist KLA employees with dismantling, adjustments or repairs according to schematics, interconnect diagrams, assembly drawings, or assembly procedures. Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. May perform equipment modifications as directed by design engineers. Create or update work instructions as needed. Troubleshoot moderately complex electrical issues within an assembly manufacturing environment. Able to work up to 8-hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear) Consistently demonstrate ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities. Willing and able to install components from a working height between 12”-71” and reach into machines to perform tasks.

Requirements

  • Read and understand electrical schematics for AC and DC circuits.
  • Capable of using a digital multimeter.
  • Able to repair and fabricate cables (cut wire, solder, shrink tube, crimp etc.).
  • Requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of related experience.
  • College academics towards Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor capital equipment experience.
  • Ability to assemble components into an e-chassis from schematic and kit of parts.
  • Ability to develop work instructions.
