About The Position

The College of Engineering and Technology at Grand Canyon University is seeking passionate adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus. Our faculty are dedicated to engaging and mentoring students, preparing them for the evolving fields of IT and Engineering. We are looking for energetic advisors who are committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. The role involves teaching courses such as Electro-Mechanical Systems and Controls & Lab, which introduces students to the integration of mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. The course covers topics like application of electro-mechanical systems, measurement and sensing, actuators, interfacing devices to controllers, programming controllers for real-time tasks, and feedback control of electro-mechanical systems including servo controls.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering (preferred)
• Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering and electromechanical experience (minimum)
• 18 graduate credit hours in relevant areas

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
