The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. We are looking for an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician for our Motor Control Center (MCC) team on 2nd shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in testing, Inspecting and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
  • Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Experience with various test equipment, including Hi-pot testing.
  • Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform final electro-mechanical inspections on units, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct nondestructive tests on equipment according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports, working professionally with Engineering and Wirers during tests and reporting findings.
  • Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
