We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Electro-Mechanical Product Development Engineer . This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will work in Limerick, Pennsylvania. Dometic Marine’s facility in Limerick, PA develops and manufactures mechanical steering control systems along with shift and throttle cables. As an Electro-Mechanical Product Development Engineer in the Engineering team, you will be involved in developing mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions for the marine market compliant with government and industry standards. The engineer will also be responsible for the sustaining engineering of any Limerick design controlled products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new products for target customers based on Sales and Product management input.
  • Develop variations for existing product platforms based on customer needs.
  • Liaise with customer’s technical staff and the Dometic key account managers, product management and engineering leadership to develop solutions and internal cost estimates.
  • Develop the product requirements, high level design specifications, test and validation methods and plans in coordination and approval with the Customer’s application requirements.
  • Specify and evaluate engineering materials ensuring suitability to application in intended environments.
  • Support Customer and Quality Assurance regarding field technical issues and related corrective action.
  • Process Engineering Change Requests including development of plan to execute change, updating documentation and coordination with other functional groups.
  • Provide support for assessments of competitive products and technologies.
  • Produce drawings and specifications for products and components.
  • Support manufacturing and manufacturing engineering with production issues.
  • Write and execute validation test plans and programs.
