About The Position

The Maintenance Team is looking to fill the role of Electro-Mechanical Tech in our Food Manufacturing. The primary role of the position will be to set up, adjust and perform moderate to complex troubleshooting methods of the manufacturing equipment. You will perform a wide variety of maintenance duties to support manufacturing operations and facilities. This position will work with food industry equipment – extrusion, enrobing, packing, cooling tunnels, etc.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Prior knowledge of trouble shooting industrial machines
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation maintenance procedures and work practices
• Understands and commits to maintaining safe work practices
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Journeyman card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the Equipment and ensures production equipment is running efficiently and optimally.
• Maintain and repair electrical, or mechanical components, equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Inspect parts for surface defects. Aligns and assembles component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, or templates.
• Troubleshoot and address PLC and VFD issues, as well as troubleshoot and address issues related to process automation, sensors and instrumentation, burner controls, metal detectors.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and other related equipment
• Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns, recommending the correct service and repairs needed to resolve issues
• Perform some of the installations and/or modifications to the plant's industrial equipment when required.
• Diagnose all types of mechanical problems and assist with maintenance tasks as needed.
• Provide training and support to all equipment operators
