About The Position

Picture this: a conveyor slows, a 480V motor trips, and a proximity switch isn’t reading. You’re the first call. As our Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist in Corsicana, TX, you’ll be the on-the-floor problem solver—moving from diagnostics to repair across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to keep production humming. Immediate opening. Compensation & Schedule Pay: $31–$42 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. What You’ll Tackle Electrical Focus Handle major/minor electrical work including 480V three-phase motor installs/repairs, motor starter circuits, VFDs, photo-eye sensors, proximity switches, E-Stop circuits, and ground-fault detection—following Pactiv’s Electrical Safety Program. Use precision tools and test gear: amp meter, ohm meter, test lamp, megger, and standard hand tools. Read/interpret electrical schematics and symbols; apply electrical theory and basic Ohm’s Law. Troubleshoot complex plant issues with emphasis on AC/DC drives and motor control circuits; PLC experience is a plus. Mechanical Focus Service pneumatics and hydraulics; clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment. Diagnose, disassemble, repair/replace, and maintain mechanical systems: motors, conveyors, pumps, belts, chains, and more. Interpret mechanical drawings/prints and P&ID diagrams during installs and repairs. What You Bring Education/Experience: 2-year Industrial Electrical degree or 1–2 years of relevant industrial experience. 2–4 years of boiler exposure preferred; current Boiler Operator Certification preferred. Experience baseline: Two years as a Plant Shift Maintenance Technician or four years of industrial maintenance handling both electrical and mechanical repairs. Hands-on skills: strong mechanical aptitude; proven troubleshooting on electro-mechanical equipment. Technical toolkit: basic computer literacy; ability to read blueprints/schematics (electrical and mechanical); familiarity with AC/DC drives and PLCs. Bonus skills: forklift and high-lift operation; welding; shop equipment use; fabrication. Soft skills: clear written/verbal communication; self-directed; adaptable to other duties as needed. Requirements

  • 2-year Industrial Electrical degree or 1–2 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience baseline: Two years as a Plant Shift Maintenance Technician or four years of industrial maintenance handling both electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Hands-on skills: strong mechanical aptitude; proven troubleshooting on electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Technical toolkit: basic computer literacy; ability to read blueprints/schematics (electrical and mechanical); familiarity with AC/DC drives and PLCs.
