About The Position

Iteris is seeking an Electro - Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the overall manufacturing operations and will need the skill to assemble mechanical and electrical OEM equipment. This individual carries out routine assignments and supports Production in disassembly and troubleshooting as needed. This position will also perform routine quality tasks associated with AS9100 compliance, and handling of discrepant material. 1st shift schedule: M-Th 5:00am - 3:00pm and F 5:00am - 9:00am What you will be doing: Proper installation of mechanical components based on specifications and schematics made by engineering department Following departmental procedures and processes Study assembly instructions, drawing specifications, schematics, and parts lists Gather parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials required for the job Position parts and tools by using templates or reading measurementsAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit Utilizing hand held tools and other mechanical equipment Resolves assembly issues or product defects by notifying supervisorRework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes Maintains safe and clean working environment according to OSHA and as instructed by the manager to comply with procedures, rules, and regulations Conserve resources by using appropriate time and energy on equipment and supplies to accomplish job results Documents actions and issues by completing production or quality forms Contributes, supports, and be a team player by accomplishing related tasks as neededPerform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of business May work longer hours when neededObserve all company policies and procedures and maintain professionalism and good performance

Requirements

  • HS Diploma preferred, over two (2) years mechanical assembly experience ,or related experience or degree preferred
  • Soldering experience required
  • Over three (3) years electrical assembly experience
  • Experience working in a fast paced, minimum supervision environment
  • Must be able to read basic and complexed diagrams, schematics, and/or diagrams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Flexible for possible transfers due to demand of work
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)
