About The Position

The Electro-mechanical Assembly Technician (EMAT) at RefleXion is responsible for assembling complex electromechanical medical devices used in radiation therapy. This hands-on technical role involves a variety of manufacturing tasks, including electrical interconnections, mechanical assembly, and system testing, contributing to both new product development and routine manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • 3 years of professional experience performing hands-on assembling and/or repairs on electrical, mechanical, cable assemblies or similar equipment.
  • High school degree or General Education Development (GED) degree.
  • Experience performing hands-on assembling and/or repairs on mechanical, electrical, cable assembly/routing or similar equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools a must.
  • Must possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality.
  • Ability to execute system-level testing with a high degree of attention to detail and overall product quality.
  • Proficient with basic hand tools and inspection equipment.
  • Motivated, proactive self-starter.
  • Must be strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret electronic circuit and mechanical drawings, detailed process instructions.
  • Strong attention to documentation details, component traceability and assembly quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical device manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Align, fit, or assemble electrical and mechanical components including gantry, power distribution units, uninterruptible power supplies, system control racks, treatment couch, and system covers using hand or power tools.
  • Verify part dimensions or other criteria to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Verify correct components and traceability issued to job.
  • Maintain accurate component traceability and associated build documentation.
  • Perform routine subsystem and system level testing. Identify and troubleshoot failures as needed.
  • Perform repairs and upgrades to system as required.
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish the assembly and test processes and provide feedback for design and process improvements.
  • Support investigations to resolve quality issues such as NCMRs, complaints, and CAPAs.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and housekeeping practices.
