About The Position

The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for the electrical or mechanical assemblies involved with the manufacture of pump stations and other systems. Interprets electrical and mechanical CAD drawings. Assists with process improvements in the pump station and other system manufacturing processes like sand blasting and powder coating. Works to a timeline on multiple projects / orders simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge and functional understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles and concepts.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on production line assembly activity.
  • Ability to interpret basic electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and measurement equipment, including calipers, tape measures, levels, compound squares, digital multimeter, torque wrenches.
  • Proficiency in the use of power tools - jig saw, horizontal band saw, belt sander, drill, drill press, chop saw, grinder.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to multi-task and think "Outside The Box".
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

Responsibilities

  • Actively participating within a team of manufacturing personnel, contributing to the goal of meeting sub-assembly component, & production deadlines.
  • Work autonomously or as a team member to build mechanical and/or electrical sub-assemblies and enclosures.
  • Procure and maintain necessary supplies to support production activities.
  • Loading PLC and touch screen control software.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements for quality, delivery performance, and throughput.
  • Troubleshoot and correct mechanical and electrical malfunctions as needed.
  • Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously and in a timely manner, for areas of assembly, sandblast and powder coat.
  • Assist in developing manufacturing procedures and productivity reports as defined by the Production Manager.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and quality inspection for other assemblers.
  • Work with and communicate with Production, Engineering, & Purchasing personnel daily with regards to scheduling, data, issues, and inventory.
