About The Position

Perform comprehensive maintenance, testing, and repair of aircraft batteries. Conduct teardown, inspection, and replacement of individual battery cells based on manufacturer's specifications and technical data. Service and troubleshoot related electrical systems, including contactors, relays, fuse panels, charging systems, and power distribution circuits. Build, modify, and repair electrical and RF wire harnesses and cable assemblies to exacting aerospace standards, following schematics and technical data. Inspect, test, and service aircraft oxygen systems, including cylinders, regulators, and valves. Purge oxygen systems of contaminants and verify system pressure and functionality in a controlled environment. Perform troubleshooting and component-level repair on battery, wiring, and oxygen system components using various test equipment and detailed work instructions. Analyze product, process, and test data to identify root causes for failures and assist with developing corrective actions. Document all work completed in compliance with work-center standards and aviation regulations, maintaining meticulous records for traceability. Order replacement parts as required and maintain strict tool accountability per work-center standards. Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety practices and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years working on military fighter aircraft or non-military aircraft.
  • Military Technical School graduate and having served in applicable aircraft maintenance specialty or 2-yr degree in electronics or electrical engineering from accredited college or technical trade school.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance preferred.
  • Knowledge of oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, frequency analyzer, frequency counter, RF generator preferred.
  • Citizenship must be compliant with International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Ability to work with team.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Must be able to solder.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment.
